“When I decided to participate in the integrative presence training I was pretty sure that I had a clear understanding of my person and my “being present”.
However, on writing my reflection paper after the first session, I recognized that there was much more to the concept of “present” than I had been aware of. Moving through the training, I was challenged in different ways – not only intellectually. I tried to learn to interact with my body, which is also “talking” to me. And I learned that this is not magic because there are scientific methods available to make relationships and emotions visible. Hence, my takeaway from this training is that interacting with my body in the here and now makes me feel better and more efficient and aware of how I appear to my environment.
